Rider Sweeps Men’s and Sacred Heart Sweeps Women’s Bob McCloskey Insurance MAAC Indoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Dallas Hohney, Rider
Jr., Glassboro, NJ, Glassboro
 
Dallas Hohney won the 500m at the Quaker Invitational in 1:01.74. The time set a new Rider Record, was the fastest time in the MAAC, and top time in the IC4A. Hohney’s time was also an IC4A qualifying mark. He also ran on the fourth place 4x400m relay team at the meet.
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Jayden DuBard, Rider
Sr., Buffalo, NY, Cheektowaga
 
Jayden DuBard finished third in the shot put at Quaker Invitational in a new Rider Record of 17.12m. His mark is No. 1 in the MAAC by over 5-feet. DuBard also finished second in the weight throw in 18.70m. Both marks are IC4A qualifying additionally.
 
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Magdalena Brogioli, Sacred Heart
So., Mattapoisett, MA, Old Rochester Regional
 
Magdalena Brogioli won two track events for Sacred Heart over the weekend. Brogioli took first in the 60 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles, while also winning the long jump on the field event side. She ran a personal best in the dash trials (7.76) and then topped her personal best again in the final (7.74). Brogioli ranks fourth in the MAAC in the 60 meter dash. She also won the 60 hurdles with her second fastest time of the season (8.76), and she continues to lead the MAAC in the event.
 
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Madeline Archangelo, Sacred Heart
Gr., Collinsville, CT, Canton
 
Madeline Archangelo was the top collegiate finisher and 2nd overall, in the Penn Quaker Invitational Pentathlon with a personal best score of 3635 points. She recorded personal bests in the high jump and hurdles, and seasonal bests in the long jump and 800 meters. Archangelo ranks 28th in all of NCAA D1 in the pentathlon. No MAAC women’s athlete ranks higher in a field event, with the next highest ranking field athlete ranking 91st in the high jump.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23, 2025, at the Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, New York. The two-day meet will be hosted by Manhattan College and will be held at The Armory for the 21st consecutive year dating back to 2004.
