No. 1 Fairfield enters the semifinal round of the MAAC Volleyball Championship for the 24th time as they chase their 15th conference title. After earning a first-round bye, the Stags will open postseason play against No. 5 Canisius. The Golden Griffins arrive with momentum, securing a 3–1 victory over rival, No. 4 Niagara University on Tuesday night in Niagara Falls, NY. Canisius came out strong with wins in the first two sets, weathered a Niagara push in the third, and closed out the match in the fourth set to punch its ticket to the semifinals. The Golden Griffins have secured a trip to the semifinals for the second consecutive year and seek their first-ever MAAC Championship title. The two teams met in the regular season on November 8 when Fairfield swept Canisius, 3-0. This matchup is a familiar one as Fairfield swept Canisius 3–0 in last year’s semifinals, and in 2021, the two teams battled in a five-set thriller in the semifinals, where the Stags also advanced to then go on and win the championship.

No. 2 Quinnipiac (19-11, 16-2 MAAC) vs. No. 3 Rider (14-14, 12-6 MAAC)

No. 2 Quinnipiac enters its 11th postseason appearance as the Bobcats look to claim their second MAAC Championship title in program history. Quinnipiac carries major momentum into the tournament, owning the conference’s longest winning streak of the season at 13 consecutive matches. After securing a first-round bye, the Bobcats will open postseason play against No. 3 Rider. Rider advances to its 10th semifinal after sweeping No. 6 Siena University on Tuesday night at home in Lawrenceville, NJ. The Broncs aim to capture their second MAAC title, having last won in 2020–21. The Bobcats and the Broncs met twice during the regular season, once on October 10 and again on November 8, with Quinnipiac sweeping Rider 3-0 in both matches. This semifinal matchup has become a familiar postseason clash. Since 2021, Quinnipiac and Rider have met in the semifinals three times, most recently last season, with Quinnipiac winning each meeting to advance to the championship match.
