Sophomore guard Adam “Budd” Clark had great performances in the two Merrimack wins over the last week. He started the week with a career-high 32-point game against Niagara on Friday night. The Philly point guard dropped 22 points in the second half to will the Warriors to victory. Clark also finished that game with a career-high seven rebounds. He also tied his career-high is steals with six. On Saturday afternoon, Clark had a game-high 17 points in the Merrimack win over Canisius. He added four steals, three assists, and three rebounds in the victory.
Rookie of the Week
Mekhi Conner, Sacred Heart
Fy., New Haven, Conn., Notre Dame West Haven
Mekhi Conner averaged 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds in Sacred Heart's 2-0 week. He scored a career-high 20 points to lead SHU to its first ever win over Fairfield, including a three-pointer with 44 seconds left to play to ultimately put the game out of reach for the Stags. The first-year shot 46% (6-13) from the field and made four three-pointers, while bringing down four rebounds, dishing out three assists and adding two steals. Conner scored 12 points going 4-9 from the field and 3-5 from three-point range. He also dished out a game-high seven assists and brought down four rebounds.
