Marist’s Myers and McDonald, and Siena’s DiMeglio Earn First Jersey Mike’s MAAC Softball Weekly Awards of the 2025 Season

 Player of the Week
Miah McDonald, Marist

Miah McDonald had the highest OPS (1.684) and most RBIs (eight) of any MAAC hitter this past week. She was tied for the MAAC lead in batting average (.625), total bases (16), and stolen bases (three). McDonald had four multi-hit games as Marist went 4-1 in the Texan Classic for its best start to a season in nine years. She started her week by not being retired against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-for-2, two walks, three RBIs, one run). The following day, she went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored in a 5-1 win over a McNeese State team that won 40 games last season. Later that day, she went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored in an 8-1 win over host Tarleton State. To close the week, she went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, three runs scored, and two triples in a 12-4 triumph over Bucknell.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Kiley Myers, Marist
Gr.,  Latrobe, PA, Greater Latrobe

In her three appearances this week, Kiley Myers registered two wins, a save, a 0.57 ERA, and the lowest WHIP of any pitcher in the MAAC (0.73). She pitched 12.1 innings, allowing just eight hits, one walk, and one run while notching six strikeouts. She had a batting average against of just .178, and both of her wins were complete games. Myers started her week with a three-hit shutout against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. She then recorded the final out to earn a save in a 5-1 win over a McNeese State team that won 40 games last season. In her final outing, she went the distance in an 8-1 road win over Tarleton State, allowing just five hits and striking out four while walking zero.
 
Rookie of the Week
Gianna DiMeglio, Siena
Fr., River Vale, NJ,  Immaculate Heart Academy
 
Freshman Gianna DiMeglio hit .583 (7-12) with a pair of doubles in a 5-0 weekend for Siena, and was the team's second-highest qualified hitter at the CSU Kickoff Tournament. DiMeglio had a hit in four of five games played, including a 3-3 performance against Bellarmine on February 8. She had another multi-hit game against CSU later that night going 2-3. Her five RBI were the second-most on the team over the weekend, and her four runs scored were tied for the third-most. 
 
The 2025 MAAC Softball Championship is an eight-team single and double elimination championship taking place between May 6-10, 2025. Games 1 and 2 will be single elimination and games 3-12 will be double elimination. The championship will be hosted by the highest seed.
