Merrimack’s Atkinson, Niagara’s Terry, and Quinnipiac’s Miller-Ayala Named Jersey Mike’s MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Award Honorees

Offensive Player of the Week
Lindsay Atkinson, Merrimack

Atkinson accounted for seven out of Merrimack’s eight goals against UMass Lowell last week. Her seven points came from six goals and an assist, with four of her tallies being unassisted. Nine of Atkinson’s 10 shots were on goal, logging a .900 shots on goal percentage. She also added three ground balls in the game.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Haley Terry, Niagara
Fr., Petaluma, CA, St. Ignatius College Prep
 
Haley Terry made 16 saves on 21 shots on goal, posting a .762 save percentage in the complete-game win over St. Bonaventure. Her performance included five saves in the second period and four crucial stops in the fourth quarter as the Bonnies attempted their comeback in a 6-5 win for the Purple Eagles. She also scooped five ground balls in the win.
 
Rookie of the Week
Emma Miller-Ayala, Quinnipiac
FY., Leominster, MA, Leominster
 
In a 2-0 week for Quinnipiac, Emma Miller-Ayala did a little bit of everything for the Bobcats. She recorded three goals, had one assist, four points, four ground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls in the two wins. She took five total shots, placing four of them on goal, while finding the back of the net on three of the attempts.
 
The 2025 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place between April 25 and May 4, 2025. The first and second rounds will be hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds on Friday and Sunday, April 25 and 27. The bracket will reseed following the second round and the semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the No. 1 seed in the field on Friday, May 2 and Sunday, May 4.
