Defensive Player of the Week
Alex Pazienza, Sacred Heart

Alex Pazienza made 28 saves for Sacred Heart in a pair of back-to-back over time games. He had 14 stops in SHU double OT loss to Fairfield, including a save in the final minute of regulation and a huge save in the first overtime to keep the Pios in it. On Saturday, Pazienza also tallied 14 saves in SHU's 7-6 OT victory over Stony Brook. In the win, he tallied his 500th career save. He also had four caused turnovers and four ground balls.
Offensive Player of the Week
Jake Ward, Sacred Heart
Sr., Highlands Ranch, Colo., Mountain Vista
Senior attacker Jake Ward led Sacred Heart offensively with 7 points in a 1-1 week with back-to-back overtime games. Ward had 4 points in SHU's double overtime loss to Fairfield, scoring 1 goal and dishing out 3 assists. In the Pios 7-6 overtime win over Stony Brook, Ward had 2 goals and 1 assist for a team-high 3 points. The senior captain scored the goal to tie the game and send it to overtime with 29 seconds left in regulation.
Face-off Specialist and Rookie of the Week
Logan Banek, Siena
Fr., New Hartford, NY, New Hartford
Freshman Logan Banek won 19 of 28 face offs (.678 win percentage) and added a game-high 12 ground balls as well as his first career goal in Siena's 13-12 defeat at LIU.
The 2025 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place from April 27 through May 3, 2025. The first round will be hosted by No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, while the semifinals and championship will be hosted by the top overall seed. All rounds of the championship will reseed.
