Junior midfielder Maddy Gill tied a program record with eight goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as Niagara women's lacrosse earned a thrilling 12-11 victory over Central Michigan. She also added the Purple Eagles' lone second-half goal in the third quarter against Pitt.
Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Licardi, Canisius

Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Licardi led the Golden Griffins to two wins this past week, recording 24 saves on 50 shots. Licardi tallied 8 saves in a 20-8 win over Le Moyne on Wednesday before amassing a career-best 16 saves on Saturday as the Griffs topped Robert Morris 15-9. Licardi holds a save percentage of .640 on the season.
Rookie of the Week
Michaela Delles, Niagara
Fr., Philadelphia, NY
Freshman attacker Michaela Delles tallied four goals, one assist and five points in a split week against Central Michigan and Pitt. She notched a .750 SOG% against CMU with 12 shots, nine were on goal.
The 2025 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place between April 25 and May 4, 2025. The first and second rounds will be hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds on Friday and Sunday, April 25 and 27. The bracket will reseed following the second round and the semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the No. 1 seed in the field on Friday, May 2 and Sunday, May 4.
