Marist’s Patrick, Sacred Heart’s Pazienza, and Siena’s Rooney and Banek Earn MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Collin Patrick, Marist
So., Raleigh, NC,  Middle Creek High School
 
In a 1-1 week for the Red Foxes, sophomore attacker Collin Patrick totaled five goals and five assists for 10 points. He opened the week with two goals and three assists in a road loss at Delaware. He followed that performance with a hat trick and two assists in the win over Mount St. Mary's.
 
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Alex Pazienza, Sacred Heart
Gr., Holtsville, NY, Saint Anthony’s
 
Graduate student goalie Alex Pazienza made 13 saves to backstop Sacred Heart to a 13-8 victory over Merrimack. He also added 2 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls. 
 
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Andrew Rooney, Siena
Sr., Rockville Centre, NY, Chaminade
 
Senior defensemen Andrew Rooney had a season-high seven ground balls and caused five turnovers in Siena's 18-12 win against Iona for conference win.
 
Face-off Specialist & Rookie  of the Week
Logan Banek, Siena
Fr., New Hartford, NY, New Hartford
 
Freshman face-off specialist Logan Banek continued his dominance at the face off “X” position by winning 17 of 18 (.941) and added 10 ground balls in Siena's 18-12 win against Iona to pick up the conference victory. 
 
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place from April 27 through May 3, 2025. The first round will be hosted by No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, while the semifinals and championship will be hosted by the top overall seed. All rounds of the championship will reseed.
