Anne Shine was an offensive catalyst for the Red Foxes this past week. Coming off the bench against Cal and Rider, Shine tallied 10 goals. In the Red Foxes MAAC opener against Rider, Shine netted a career-high six goals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Maggie Kennedy, Quinnipiac
So., Blue Point, NY, Bayport-Blue Point
Maggie Kennedy recorded a career high five caused turnovers against Iona on Saturday afternoon. Her five CT contributed to the Bobcats' season-high of 16 CT as a team. Additionally, Kennedy scooped up three ground balls in the game.
Rookie of the Week
Brooke Molchanoff, Mount St. Mary's
Fr., Cicero, NY, Cicero-North Syracuse
Brooke Molchanoff finished her week with four points, coming from three goals and one assist. She tallied her first multi-goal game as a collegiate player, scoring twice in the Mount's 11-10 win over Canisius. Molchanoff recorded a goal and assist in the team's game against Cincinnati earlier in the week. She also added five draw controls, three ground balls, and a caused turnover. On the season, she is tied for the Mountaineers lead in assist with seven.
The 2025 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place between April 25 and May 4, 2025. The first and second rounds will be hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds on Friday and Sunday, April 25 and 27. The bracket will reseed following the second round and the semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the No. 1 seed in the field on Friday, May 2 and Sunday, May 4.
