Wagner’s Alonso, and Marist’s Sanchez and Kiss Earn Kap7 Water Polo Weekly Awards
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Carlota Alonso, Wagner
Sr., Barcelona, Spain, La Vall HS
 
In three wins this weekend, Carlota Alonso tallied 15 goals and 8 assists. In the 25-16 win over La Salle, Alonso scored six goals to go with five assists. In a 21-12 win over VMI, Alonso scored five goals and added two assists and in a 17-13 win over Villanova, she scored four goals and added one assists. 
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Inés Sánchez, Marist

Junior goalkeeper Ines Sanchez led the Red Foxes in net to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Wolverine Invitational. Sanchez tallied 25 total saves in the three wins for the Red Foxes. In the Red Foxes win against Pomona-Pitzer, Sanchez recorded nine saves in the win. Sanchez also recorded three steals in the Red Foxes three wins.
 
Rookie of the Week
Viktoria Kiss, Marist

Viktoria Kiss had a breakout weekend for the Red Foxes in their 3-0 weekend at the Wolverine Invitational. Kiss tallied a hat trick (three goals) in the Red Foxes win against Salem. Kiss recorded five total goals on the weekend and added three assists in the perfect weekend
 
The 2025 MAAC Water Polo Championship will take place April 25-27, 2025. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY. Marist has hosted the Water Polo Championship annually since 2003.
