Sacred Heart and Siena Sweep MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Michael Moreschi, Sacred Heart

Junior attacker Michael Moreschi had nine points in Sacred Heart's 2-0 week. Had a career-high six points, coming from four goals and two assists in the Pios 16-1 win over Iona. He followed that up with three points, coming from one goal and two assists in SHU's 13-12 OT victory over Marist. He also added two ground balls and one caused turnover. 
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Andrew Arcuri, Siena

Fifth year goalkeeper Andrew Arcuri made eight saves and allowed just eight goals in Siena's 12-8 win over Mount St. Mary's this past Saturday.
 
Face-off Specialist of the Week
Logan Banek, Siena
Fr., New Hartford, NY, New Hartford
 

Freshman face-off specialist Logan Banek won 19 of 23 faceoffs with a game-high 15 ground balls in Siena's 12-8 win over Mount St. Mary's this past Saturday.
 
Rookie of the Week
Dom Basti, Sacred Heart
Fy., East Haven, Conn., Notre Dame West Haven
 
First year midfielder Dom Basti had five points through Sacred Heart's 2-0 week. He dished out two assists in the Pios 16-1 win over Iona and had three points, coming from two goals and one assist in SHU's 13-12 OT victory over Marist. 
 
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place from April 27 through May 3, 2025. The first round will be hosted by No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, while the semifinals and championship will be hosted by the top overall seed. All rounds of the championship will reseed.
