Samantha Rogers, Marist

Samantha Rogers hit .714 with a homer, eight RBIs, and an OPS of 1.953 (including a 1.286 slugging percentage) in Marist's only two games this week, a road sweep of Quinnipiac. Rogers registered a career-high six RBIs in game two, a 9-0 Marist triumph. Her two-run single helped Marist score three in the first, and her three-run homer lifted the Red Foxes to a 6-0 lead in the fourth. She then added an RBI double in the sixth as Marist was able to prevail in six innings. In game one, Rogers went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs in Marist's 13-9 triumph. Her RBI single in the fourth gave Marist the lead for good, and it brought home the first of six runs in the inning. Her sacrifice fly in the seventh provided an insurance run.
Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Weinberg, Fairfield
Jr., Levittown, NY, Division
Alyssa Weinberg picked up two wins in her two starts, giving up one earned run in 14 innings of work against Manhattan. In her first start, the junior yielded an unearned run in her complete-game victory, striking out seven and allowing four hits. In her second outing, Weinberg allowed one earned run and scattered three hits while fanning six to improve to 9-4 on the season. For the week, she owned a 0.50 ERA with 13 strikeouts.
Rookie of the Week
Christina Minor, Fairfield
Fr., Kirkland, Wash., Lake Washington
Christina Minor posted a .400 batting average over four games, driving in four runs with a double. She posted a hit in three of her four appearances including a two-hit effort in the series finale against Manhattan, scoring three times in the game. With three walks during the week, Minor finished with a .538 on-base percentage. Defensively, she cleanly handled all 11 chances including 10 assists.
The 2025 MAAC Softball Championship is an eight-team single and double elimination championship taking place between May 6-10, 2025. Games 1 and 2 will be single elimination and games 3-12 will be double elimination. The championship will be hosted by the highest seed.
