Fairfield’s Slater and Donnelly, and Rider’s Shean Named Jersey Mike’s MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Award Winners

Offensive Player of the Week  
Grace Slater, Fairfield 
Sr., North Potomac, Md., Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart 

 
Grace Slater had an 11-point week as the Stags went 2-0 to earn a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship. She scored four goals with one assist in the Wednesday win over Sacred Heart, then dropped six goals on six shots in Saturday's rout at Marist. 
 
 
Defensive Player of the Week 
Brynn Donnelly, Fairfield 
Jr., Havertown, Pa., Merion Mercy Academy 
 
Brynn Donnelly dominated the midfield this week with 31 total draw controls in Fairfield's wins over Sacred Heart and Marist to clinch a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship. Donnelly is the only MAAC player with over 12 draw controls in a game this season, which she accomplished twice with 13 against the Pioneers and 18 against the Red Foxes. Donnelly claimed the Fairfield records for draw controls in a game (18) and a season (129) with her performance this week. 
 
Rookie of the Week 
Elizabeth Shean, Rider 
Fr., Seal Beach, CA, Los Alamitos 
 
Freshman attacker Elizabeth Shean scored five goals and added an assist in Rider's 2-0 week that helped the Broncs reach the MAAC Tournament for the first time in program history. The freshman had her third hat trick of the season in Rider's win over Manhattan. 
 
The 2025 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship is an eight-team, single-elimination championship taking place between April 25 and May 4, 2025. The first and second rounds will be hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds on Friday and Sunday, April 25 and 27. The bracket will reseed following the second round and the semifinals and championship final will be hosted by the No. 1 seed in the field on Friday, May 2 and Sunday, May 4.
