Quinnipiac Sweeps 2025 Women’s Tennis Postseason Major Awards

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (Apr. 24, 2025) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the 2025 Women’s Tennis postseason Major Award winners and All-MAAC Teams, voted on by the league’s nine head coaches.

Quinnipiac University highlighted major awards, sweeping all three honors, while boasting a league-high of seven All-MAAC Team selections.

Quinnipiac’s Willow Renton headlined major award winners, claiming MAAC Player of the Year and MAAC Rookie of the Year accolades. The first year Bobcat who hails from Goshen, Kentucky was the only unanimous selection to the All-MAAC First Team at singles and she was also voted to the All-MAAC First Team at the doubles position with teammate Caitlin Flower. During her rookie campaign, Renton combined to go 15-1 in MAAC action, at #1 singles and #1 doubles. At #1 doubles, she and Flower went a perfect 8-0 on the season, losing only two or less games each set. At the top singles position, Renton went 7-1 in 2025. Overall, she posted a 19-13 spring record. Furthermore, Renton was a two-time MAAC Player of the Week choice this year, winning the awards on March 5 and April 2.

Winning 2025 MAAC Coach of the Year honors was Bobcat’s head coach, Paula Miller. Miller has now been named as the league’s top coach amongst her peers eight times, also garnering the awards in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023. In 2025, Miller’s Bobcats went a perfect 8-0 in the MAAC, the program’s ninth perfect conference regular season since joining the MAAC in 2013-14, while also clinching the program’s 10th MAAC Regular Season title.
