Rider’s Palmer and Snyder, Merrimack’s Couture, Niagara’s Adderley-Julien and Sacred Heart’s Brogioli Earn Bob McCloskey Insurance MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Co-Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Cory Couture, Merrimack
Gr., Sherrill, N.Y., VVS Senior High School
 
Cory won the 400m dash with a time of 48.49, finished second with a time of 41.49 seconds in the 4x100 to set a new school record in the event, finished second in 21.88 in the 200 meter dash at the Skyhawk Invitational at Stonehill College.
 
 
Co-Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Tamrat Snyder, Rider
Gr.,Gaithersburg, MD, Damascus
 
Graduate student distance runner Tamrat Snyder finished 5th at the Sam Howell Invitational in 1:50.56. It is the #1 time in the MAAC by over 3 seconds and an IC4A qualifier. 
 
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Michael palmer, Rider
Jr.,  Hawthorne, NJ, Hawthorne HS
 
Michael Palmer won the high jump at the Sam Howell Invitational clearing 2.10m. It is the #3 mark all time at Rider, IC4A qualifier, and a possible NCAA qualifying mark. It is the #1 mark in the MAAC and is currently tied for the #19 mark in the NCAA East. 
 
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Magdalena Brogioli, Sacred Heart
Jr., Mattapoisett, Mass., Old Rochester Regional
 
Magdalena Brogioli was part of three of the four Sacred Heart records set over the weekend. The junior broke the 100-meter dash record (12.02) and 100-meter hurdles record (14.16) and led off the 4x100-meter relay team, which finished in 47.11, breaking the previous record set last weekend.
 
 
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Hannah Adderley-Julien, Niagara
Jr., Toronto, Ont.
 
Hannah Adderley-Julien won the women's long jump at the 2025 Geneseo Early Season Invitational with a 5.70. Adderley-Julien was also a part of the 4x100 team that claimed first place.
 
The 2025 MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11, 2025, at Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ, hosted by Rider University.
