Wilkerson led Mount St. Mary’s and leads the MAAC in the 400 meter dash after running the event in 47.63 seconds at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, placing fourth at the event. The mark ranks eighth all-time in Mount program history.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Ethan Demeter, Mount St. Mary's
So., Kodak, TN, Northview Academy
Demeter is the MAAC leader and 26th in the country for the pole vault, winning the event at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a distance of 5.11 meters. His throw is ranked third in Mount program history.
Men’s Rookie of the Week
Thomas Lloyd, Mount St. Mary's
Fr., Whitehall, PA, Whitehall
Lloyd became the MAAC leader and 21st in the country for the javelin, impressing in his debut with a 64.68 meter mark. He instantly placed fourth on the Mount's all-time list, to go along with his fourth place finish at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week/Women’s Rookie of the Week
Alena Murray, Mount St. Mary's
Fr., East Stroudsburg, PA, Stroudsburg
Murray dominated in the women's 100 and 200 meter dashes, earning 12.04 seconds in the 100 and 25 seconds flat for the 200 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She also helped the 4x100 relay team earn a second place finish at 47.66, good for the number three mark in program history. Murray’s 100 dash ties for the eighth best time in program history.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Rebecca Weir, Mount St. Mary's
Sr., Naples, FL, Seacrest Country Day High School
Weir sits atop the MAAC leaderboard for the javelin, earning 44.44 meters at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The mark was good for third best in program history.
