Verheul, Chomow, and Carlos Earn Week 4 Metro Men’s Soccer Weekly Award Honors

Evan Chomow made seven saves and allowed one goal in helping the Stags extend their unbeaten streak to four games with a 2-1 win over New Haven. He posted five stops in the opening 45 minutes before registering two more saves in the second half which came in the 86th and 88th minutes. The goalkeeper owned an .875 save percentage for the game and faced 17 shots over his 90 minutes of work.
 
Rookie of the Week
Cristiano Carlos, Fairfield

Cristiano Carlos scored his second game-winning goal of the season, posting the deciding goal in the 75th minute of a 2-1 win over New Haven. He also helped set up the game's first goal when he was pulled down in the box setting up teammate Cameron Gerber's penalty kick goal just two minutes into the game. Carlos extended his scoring streak to five games, posting four goals and an assist since joining the program.
 
The 2026 Metro Men's Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament scheduled for November 7–14. Each match will be hosted by the higher seed, with teams reseeded following each round of the championship. The tournament begins with the first round on Saturday, November 7, followed by the semifinals on Wednesday November 11. The championship concludes with the title match on Saturday, November 14.
