Jess Fontaine

Women's Soccer, Junior, Midfielder, Enfield, CT/Northwest Catholic

Jess Fontaine played all 211 possible minutes for the Bobcats as they went undefeated in MAAC play with a 1-0-1 record for this week. The junior forward continues to produce at an elite level as she finished with four points (one goal, two assists) in two games, starting with a clutch late-game equalizing tally for the Bobcats in a 1-1 draw at Fairfield on Wednesday. Fontaine’s fifth goal of the season came with just over six minutes remaining as the tally earned Quinnipiac a crucial road point. Fontaine then continued to produce as the week went along as she tallied two assists in a 4-3 double overtime win at Iona on Saturday. Her first assist led to the game’s first goal while her second helper led to the Nadya Gill game-winner in double overtime as the Bobcats erased a 3-2 deficit with just 1:23 remaining in regular to score the victory. Fontaine was heavily involved in the Bobcat offense throughout the week as she registered her most shots (10) and shots-on-goal (7) in any two-game span in 2015.
