Matt Needham

Men's Soccer, Senior, Back, Sheffield, England/King Ecgbert School

Siena's Matt Needham has to date appeared in 56 career matches and made 55 starts at center back for the Saints. A 2012 MAAC All-Rookie Team selection, Needham has tallied 10 career points including a pair of game-winning goals. Needham has been a staple on the Saints’ back line this fall where he has both appeared in and started 17 matches for a defensive unit which has recorded five shutouts to date.

In the classroom, Needham has been named to both the MAAC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll in each year of eligibility. An economics major, he currently possesses a 3.85 cumulative GPA and is a member of Siena Athletics’ “4.0 Club” after achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA for both semesters of his junior year. Needham was inducted at the end of last year into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society for Students of AACSB-Accredited Business Schools and was selected to the 21st Century Leaders Society, an Honor Society for Business Majors.

Lauren Behrens

Volleyball, Senior, Right Setter, Frankfort, Illinois/Lincoln-Way East

Behrens has been the Peacocks leader on the floor for the last four years and achieved two milestones in her career this year by reaching 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. The senior reached 1,000 kills at the Yanitelli Center against Marist and then reach 1,000 digs in the home match against Manhattan. Behrens is just the fourth player in program history to have 1,000 in each category. This season, Behrens leads the team in kills (164), digs (298) and points (269.0). She boasts a 3.647 grade-point average in marketing management.
