Kevin Bleeker

Men’s Basketball, Senior, Alkmaar, Netherlands/BV Noordkop

Canisius senior Kevin Bleeker has played in more games than any other player on the Golden Griffins’ roster this season (89) and he is averaging 7.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season. A team captain this season, Bleeker has played in and started all nine games this year for the Griffs and he leads the team in blocked shots with eight. A native of the Netherlands, Bleeker earned his undergraduate degree from Canisius in 2014, and he currently holds a 4.0 grade point average while working toward his master’s degree in sport administration.

 

Hailey Beers

Women’s Swimming and Diving, Senior, Brockport, N.Y./Brockport

A senior for the Siena Saints, Hailey Beers has enjoyed a lot of success during the 2015-16 season with the Saints. Beers has been named the MAAC Diver of the Week three times and was honored with the Corvais ECAC Division I Diver of the Week Award after she was named the Diver of the Meet as Siena captured their first ECAC Championship. At the ECAC Championship, the senior from Brockport, N.Y. swept the diving medals after posting a six-round score of 227.25 in the 1 Meter Dive event and then bested the field in the 3 Meter Diving Event, scoring a 242.95.  She has led the Saints in diving this season, recording seven first place, four second place and third place finishes on the season.  In the classroom, Beers posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average in spring 2015, raising her cumulative GPA to 3.03.
