Zack Molloy - Swimming - Rider - Toms River, NJ
Sophomore Zack Molloy of the Rider University men's swimming and diving team recently completed at the 2015 Phillips 66 USA Swimming National Championships in San Antonio, Texas.
On August 6, Molloy, from Toms River, New Jersey, swam a time trial in the 400 long course meter freestyle, coming in with a personal record and Olympic trial cut time of 4:04.51, besting his lifetime mark by almost three seconds. On August 7, Molloy competed in the 200 long course meter free and swam 1:52.87, finishing only a second off his lifetime best. On August 8, Molloy swam the 100 long course meter free and finished with a time of 52.25.This is the second year in a row Molloy has competed at this meet.
Katie Wells - Field Hockey - Siena - Niskayuna, NY
Wells joined the Saints' prestigious 4.0 Club after posting a perfect GPA in the Spring while maintaining a full course load in Siena's ultra-challenging biology department. She has spent much of her summer performing undergraduate research and observation, designing and implementing studies aimed at discovering the role certain genes play in addiction. On the field, the senior captain has been a huge asset to the Saints' defense and midfield lines. She started 13 of 16 games last season registering an assist and a defensive save. The two-time conference All-Academic and Honor Roll selection will be asked to play a leadership role for this year's squad.
