Emma O’Connor, Marist

Marist won both games this weekend, led by senior captain Emma O’Connor. O’Connor averaged a double-double for the weekend with 14.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. She also averaged 4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. In Marist’s 79-51 victory over Rider, O’Connor had 16 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. O’Connor shot 50 percent (6-12) from the field against the Broncs. She also had an additional block and steal.
In an 81-54 win against Manhattan, O’Connor posted her fourth double-double this season with 13 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. She shot 62.5 percent (5-8) from the field and a perfect 3-3 from the free-throw line. Of her 16 rebounds, 11 were defensive rebounds. She also contributed two blocks on the defensive end of the ball as well as two steals. On the weekend, O’Connor shot 55 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from three-point range, and 80 percent from the free-throw line.

Victoria Rampado, Niagara

Victoria Rampado had another incredible week for the Purple Eagles as she averaged 18.5 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, and shot 55.2 percent (16-for-29) from the field as Niagara split the weekend. She opened with a 17-point and seven rebound performance against Iona on Thursday. The freshman hit 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) chances from the floor and tied a career-high with five blocks. Rampado saved the best for last, scoring another 20 points in the win over Monmouth on ESPN3. She went 8-for-16 (50.0 percent) from the field and scored on offensive rebound putbacks, post moves, and mid-range jump shots off the bounce. She also pulled in nine rebounds to narrowly miss out on her third double-double in four games.
