Taylor and Foley Promoted to Associate Commissioner

Edison, N.J. ? Ken Taylor has been promoted to Associate Commissioner for Men’s Basketball and Baseball, and Marshall Foley has been promoted to Associate Commissioner for Championships.

 

Taylor, entering his 10th year at the MAAC, was appointed as Assistant Commissioner for Men’s Basketball, Baseball and Football in June 2006.  He first joined the MAAC staff in August 1999 as Administrative Fellow for Ice Hockey and Media Relations.  Taylor was promoted to Director of Ice Hockey and Special Events in July of 2000.  In June of 2001, he was promoted to Director of Championships, a position he held until being promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Championships in 2004.  In his current role, Taylor oversees operations for baseball and men’s basketball.  He also coordinates the MAAC Basketball television package, officiating bureaus, in-season scheduling and administration of the MAAC Basketball and Baseball Championships.   

 

Foley was promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Championship in June 2006.  He had been the league's Director of Championships & Special Events since January 2006.  In his role, Foley's primary responsibilities lie in the areas of coordinating 22 MAAC championships as well as developing schedules and handling the day-to-day operations for these sports.  Prior to joining the MAAC, Foley served as Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y.
