Men’s Swimmer of the Week:
Joseph Stewart, Fairfield
Fr., Wellington, New Zealand, Scots College
Joseph Stewart helped the Stags sweep the weekend with wins over Holy Cross and Providence. The freshman was a triple winner against Providence including a school record in the the 800 free with his time of 8:31.18. He also garnered a win in the 200 free (1:56.33) and the 400 free (4:07.73). Against the Crusaders, Stewart added two more wins which included the 200 free with a time of 1:43.47. He was also part of the winning 200 free relay that finished in 1:26.66.
Men’s Diver of the Week:
John Furner, Niagara
Fr., Haddonfield, NJ
Furner won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in the Purple Eagles win over Nazareth. In the 1-meter, Furner received a score of 260.33 and on the 3-meter board he earned a score of 287.55.
