Thomasson averaged 22.0 points on 54.8% shooting while leading Niagara to a perfect 2-0 weekend in Dublin, Ireland for the MAAC/ASUN Dublin Basketball Challenge. Thomasson scored a career high 29 points on the opening night of the MAAC/ASUN Dublin Basketball Challenge over Central Arkansas Friday. He again led the way with 15 points, three assists, and three rebounds in Saturday’s win over Stetson earning MVP honors of the MAAC/ASUN Dublin Basketball Challenge.
 
Rookie of the Week
Tahj Staveskie, Canisius

Canisius redshirt-freshman Tahj Staveskie recieves his second consecutive Rookie of the Week slection after averaging 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Golden Griffins. In a one-point overtime loss to Cleveland State, the Sandusky, Ohio native scored 14 points and added in three rebounds. In a 46-point win over Fredonia, Staveskie poured in 15 points, four assists and three rebounds.  
 
The 2022-23 campaign culminates with the 2023 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 7-11 at Atlantic City's Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall for the fourth consecutive year.
