The score would remain the same for the next 77 minutes, until Erik Reis fed Magnus Saaby in the box, scoring a one-timer and equalizing the match. The two sides would play to a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation. After playing 20 minutes of scoreless action in overtime, the teams went to penalty kicks where Niagara prevailed 4-3.
