Marist's Dauser & Gibbs; Siena’s Kalac and Spenziero Win MAAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards


Men’s Swimmer of the Week:
 Christopher Dauser, Marist
Jr., Norwalk, CT, Norwalk

Christopher Dauser finished third in the 100-yard butterfly final at the ECAC championships. Dauser's 49.31 time placed him on the podium
 
Men’s Diver of the Week:
Ethan Gibbs, Marist
Fr., Long Beach, California, St. John Bosco High School
 
Freshman diver Ethan Gibbs placed first in the one-meter dive at the ECAC championships (259.50). Gibbs also placed second in the three-meter dive at the championships (248.80).
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week:
Rory Kalac, Siena
Sr., Huntersville, NC, Clements (TX)
 
Rory Kalac had a fantastic meet at the ECAC Winter Championships. Her 50 free time of 23.52 was good for the top time in the MAAC this season, second all-time in program history, and fourth at the meet. Her too free time of 52.62 is fourth all-time in program history, seventh in the MAAC and was 12th at the meet. Her 200 free time of 1:55.06 is 4th all-time, 10th in the MAAC this season, and 10th at the meet. She also helped the Saints place sixth in the 200 free relay (1:36.76), seventh in the 800 free relay (7:53.86), and 11th in the 200 medley relay (1:47.79).
 
Women’s Diver of the Week:
Talia Spenziero, Siena
Jr., Clifton Park, NY, Shenendehowa
 
Talia Spenziero placed second in one-meter diving with a score of 230.30 and fifth in three-meter diving with a score of 216.40 at the ECAC winter Championships last weekend.
 
The 2023 MAAC Men's & Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships return to the Burt Flickinger Center on the campus of Erie Community College (ECC) in Buffalo, NY for the 12th consecutive year. The four-day meet co-hosted by Canisius College and Niagara University will take place from Wednesday, February 8 through Saturday, February 11.
