2022 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships Day Two Recap

BUFFALO, NY (Feb. 10, 2022) – At the end of day two from the 2022 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships, the Rider men’s team remains atop the leaderboard with 268 points. For the women, Fairfield remains after several strong performances with a total of 232 points.

Day 2 Highlights
  • The Niagara Purple Eagles led by Katrina Wardner, Lila Maddux, Moana Houde-Camirand, and Paige South broke the MAAC Record in the Women’s 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:34.04. The record was held for over 10 years, when the Rider University women’s team had a time of 1:34.08. The Purple Eagles’ men’s team also placed first with a time of 1:20.82. The Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay was led by Kevin Vu, Levi Morgan, Reid Tichy, and Nathan Dragon.
  • Fairfield Freshman Dillon O’Connor a freshmen, scored a total of 278.95 points in the Men’s 3-Meter Dive.
  • Canisius’ Sage Pollock won the Women’s 50 Freestyle in 23.07 seconds and Marist’s Ahmed Sallam won the Men’s 50 Freestyle in 20.01 seconds.
