EDISON, NJ (March 14, 2022) – Representatives from two member institutions from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) have been selected for appointments for the NCAA’s Division I Committees.
Kerri Gallagher, the Director of Cross Country, Track and Field at Manhattan College has been reappointed to the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee. Gallagher is in her sixth year at Manhattan and first as the program’s Director of Cross Country, Track and Field.
Dedra Palmer, Senior Associate Athletic Director, and Senior Woman Administrator has been named to the NCAA Division I Progress Toward Degree Waiver Committee. Prior to Niagara, Palmer served as Director of Championships before being promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Championships in December 2017 for the MAAC.
NCAA Division I Athletics feature several committees composed of volunteers from member schools and conferences who include college and university presidents, athletics directors, coaches, student-athletes, staff, faculty members, and conference office personnel. These individuals contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide how Division I schools operate their athletics programs.
