Bermudez slashed .714/.765/1.143 on the week and went 10-for-14 with nine runs scored and three RBI. He also stole two bases on Saturday and added a home run on Sunday in the Jaspers' 10-0 win. He went 4-for-5 with 5 runs scored in Friday's 22-7 win.
Pitcher of the Week
Colin McVeigh, Fairfield
So., Landsdale, PA, LaSalle
McVeigh struck out a total of 15 batters in six shutout innings which spanned three outings in Fairfield's 5-0 week. He picked up saves in back-to-back days while capping his performance with a career-high seven strikeouts in three innings of work. He allowed just three hits and did not allow a run. McVeigh was also named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week yesterday.
Rookie of the Week
Peyton Consigli, Canisius
Fr., Fonthill, Ontario, St. Francis High (NY)
In two appearances against Quinnipiac last weekend, Peyton Consigli struck out six batters in four innings of work. The Fonthill, Ontario, native allowed just one hit and walked one in the series, leading to an .077 batting average against and a WHIP of 0.50.
