Vinny Chiarenza had a stellar week for Canisius, posting a .667 batting average (4-of-6) with three home runs and seven RBI. Chiarenza scored four runs in the three-game series against Monmouth, recording a home run in each game. In addition to his three homers, Chiarenza posted a .778 on-base percentage, drawing three walks while not striking out.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Matt Duffy, Canisius

Matt Duffy struck out 10 Monmouth batters over seven shutout innings, aiding Canisius to an 8-0 shutout of the Hawks last Thursday. In his outing, Duffy allowed just four hits while not walking a batter. Duffy also broke the program's single-season strikeout record, becoming the first Canisius pitcher to eclipse the century mark (105).
 
Rookie of the Week
Peyton Consigli, Canisius
Fr., Fonthill, Ontario, St. Francis High (NY)
 
Peyton Consigli struck out four batters in 2.1 innings pitched over two outings against Monmouth last week. Consigli struck out four batters in a two-inning outing on Thursday, solidifying the Griffs' 8-0 shutout of the Hawks. On Friday, Consigli inherited the bases loaded with two outs while ahead 5-3 and induced a fly out to record his sixth save.
