EDISON, NJ (June 20, 2022) – The 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Baseball Player of the Year Max Grant of Canisius College and Pitcher of the Year Trey Dombroski of Monmouth University were named to the 2022 ACBA/Rawlings All-America Teams, the organization announced late last week.
 
The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 13,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth.
 
Grant, a second team selection led the MAAC with a .398 batting average and 90 hits this season; his 90 hits are tied for the third most in a single season in MAAC history. He also hit 10 home runs, drove in 53 RBI, scored 56 runs, slashed .398/.489/.646 and was successful on seven of his eight stolen base attempts. His .398 average currently ranks 14^th in the NCAA.
 
Dombroski, a third team selection led the MAAC with a 3.13 ERA and finished with a 6-2 record. He finished second in the conference with 120 strikeouts this season, which set the Monmouth program record. He threw 95 total innings and had a 11.36 K/9, and walked just 14 batters all season. His 8.57 K/BB ratio currently ranks sixth in the NCAA.
