Fairfield's Ethan Hibbard earns MAAC Baseball Player of the Week honors after an impressive week of play. The catcher hit .667 (6-for-9) with nine runs scored, four homers, and seven RBI in Fairfield's sweep over Iona. Hibbard also drew four walks, had a .769 on-base percentage, a 2.000 slugging percentage without a strikeout on the weekend
 
 
Pitcher of the Week
Tyler Fagler, Manhattan
Gr., Tampa, FL, Berkeley
 
 
Tyler Fagler helped Manhattan secure a spot in the MAAC Championships with his performance this past week. Against Rider, Fagler tossed seven scoreless innings while not yielding his first hit until the sixth inning. He also sat down seven on strikes, yielding no free passes. 
 
 
Rookie of the Week
Nick Groves, Niagara
Fr., London, Ontario, Monseigneur-Bruyère
 
Nick Groves hit .455 along with four RBIs and two walks. Had the walk off sac fly on Friday to clinch a spot in the postseason for Niagara. Had two doubles and a triple on the weekend and scored three runs. The freshman is currently two walks away from breaking the MAAC single season record for walks.
