North Adams, MA—Niagara pitcher Zack Cameron has been named a New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star which was announced by the league on Sunday.
Cameron had a record-breaking season in 2023 with the Purple Eagles as he set the new program record for career saves with 15. He had nine saves in 2023 which is the second most in a season in program history. He came out of the bullpen in 21 games while striking out 53 batters in 47.2 innings and accumulated a 3-1 record as a senior.
This summer the Hamilton, Ont. native is pitching for the Valley Blue Sox of the NECBL. He has pitched in 10 games out of the bullpen for the Blue Sox and has a 4-0 record with a 1.50 ERA. He also has two saves on the season and opposing hitters are batting just .117 against him in 18 innings. Over the 18 innings he has 20 strikeouts.
This year's NECBL All-Star Game will take place on July 23rd at Fraser Field in Lynn, Massachusetts. First pitch of the all-star game is slated for 4:30 PM and can be watched live on the NECBL Network.
