EDISON, NJ (Aug. 22, 2023) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) welcomes its administrative fellows for the 2023-24 academic year: Marcus Cole and Brooke Timinski.
The pair commence their pursuit of careers in collegiate athletics this month with the start of the fall season and will be integral assets on the MAAC staff. Their responsibilities will include assisting with planning and executing of conference championships, media relations, marketing, and day-to-day operations.
Past participants of the MAAC Administrative Fellowship program have gone on to work full-time at the conference office, member institutions, and various Division I athletic departments throughout the country.
Cole graduated from William Paterson University in 2023 with his bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in Sports Management. During his time in William Paterson, Cole was a member of the Career Development Center, where he helped manage social media accounts, produced compelling graphics to share across platforms and collaborated with a team to organize live and online events. During the 2022-23 academic year, he served as a volunteer for both the MAAC and Big East Conference for various championships and ancillary events. With the MAAC, Cole worked as a ticket steward and assisted with game day operations during the 2023 Women’s Lacrosse Championships. For the Big East, he volunteered during the 2022-23 Big East Basketball Media Day as an escort and with media/team credential distribution, and he also assisted at the 2023 Big East Outdoor Track & Field Championships with game day operations.
Timinski is a graduate of Drew University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications while also competing on the women’s basketball team from 2018-2022. She has worked as a volunteer for Woodbridge Township Recreation Department Youth Sports since 2022 and has assisted with youth clinics for the Basketball Warehouse in Edison, NJ from 2015-2022. Timinski is also a graduate of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s (WBCA) “So You Want to Be a Coach” program, class of 2022.
