Mason Petrucci, Canisius, Men's Soccer
So. / St. Cathartines, Ontario, St. Francis Catholic Secondary
A native of St. Catherines, Ontario, Petrucci has played in all 10 matches this season, starting nine. Petrucci scored and tallied an assist in the 3-3 draw against St. Francis (Pa.), and recorded an assist in the team's most recent contest against Saint Peter's. He is currently pursuing his degree in sport management.
Last season, Petrucci played in all 18 games the Griffs played, and started in 17. He tallied two goals and one assist, which ranked him fourth on the team in points with seven.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Nathalie Mejia, Mount St. Mary's, Women's Soccer
Gr. / Silver Spring, MD, Northwood
Mejia has shined during the past five conference games, earning five points on two goals and an assist. Against Marist on September 21, she picked up her first career goal, following that with the game winner in the Mount's 3-1 victory over Sacred Heart September 28. Mejia also added an assist in the team's match with Saint Peter's on October 9. She has competed in three different seasons for the Mountaineers, and has been a regular start for the past two. The points are the first goals and assists she has posted in her career.
