Male Student-Athlete of the Week
Jason Fitch, Mount St. Mary’s, Men’s Swimming and Diving
Gr. / Middle River, MD, Calvert Hall
Fitch helped Mount St. Mary's earn a third place at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, winning the 200 backstroke and assisting on both the 200 and 400 yard medley relays. Entering the season, the graduate student holds eight places in the Mount record books between yardage and metered races. Fitch has been a dual sport athlete for the Mountaineers in the past as he was one of the inaugural members of the men's water polo team that began competition in the spring of 2021. Currently pursuing an MBA from the Mount, Fitch earned a bachelor's degree last May with a political science and was commissioned as an officer in the Army following the completion of ROTC training.

Kinga Wronska, Niagara, Women’s Volleyball

Wronska posted an 18-kill, 14-dig double-double in Niagara's five-set match loss to Merrimack in the opening round of the MAAC Championship, leading the Purple and White with her 19.5 points. Wronska finished the season with career-highs in sets played (106), kills (250), kills per set (2.36), aces (24), blocks (32), and points per set (2.75), helping Niagara reach the MAAC Tournament for the 15th consecutive season. Wronska was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second time in her career.
