Sacred Heart’s Hayes and Iona’s O’Brien Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Lance Hayes, Sacred Heart, Men’s Indoor Track and Field
Sr. / Queensbury, NY, Queensbury
 
Hayes grabbed a school record in the 600m run during the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout last weekend, finishing in fifth overall with a time of 1:21.90. Hayes has placed in the top five in each event he has participated in this season.
 
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Raegan O’Brien, Iona, Women’s Swimming and Diving

Freshman Raegan O’Brien was named the women’s swimmer of the meet as she grab a trio of gold medals that helped pace the women to 1,332-points and third place at the 2024 ECAC Winter Championships. She swept both backstroke events winning the 200 in a time of 2:03.49. Along with being the first leg in the winning 800-Freestyle relay team.
