Canisius’ Appenheimer and Siena’s Coyle Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Brendan Coyle, Siena, Men’s Basketball
Jr. / Niskayuna, NY, Cushing Academy (MA)
 
Coyle holds a 3.68 cumulative GPA as a Finance major. Held a 3.92 GPA during the spring semester, earning him a spot on the Siena College President's List (3.90 GPA-3.99 GPA). Captain has been a MAAC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll in each year of eligibility. Ranks 35th nationally in three-point percentage (.472) and 50th in threes per game (3.13), which also leads the MAAC. Scored in double figures in six of first eight games, while averaging 11.9 points and is shooting .875 from the free throw line (14-of-16).
 
 
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Jacqueline Appenheimer, Canisius, Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field
Jr. / Kenmore, NY, Cardinal O’Hara

A native of Kenmore, N.Y., Appenheimer competed in all six cross country events this season, being a top five runner for Canisius in five of the six races. She started her season with a ninth place finish at the Little Three Championships, while posting a career-best 6k time of 22:06.7 at the 2024 MAAC Championships. Appenheimer is majoring in psychology.
