POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Josh Pascarelli of the Marist men's basketball team has been named to the Kyle Macy Freshmen All-America Team.
Pascarelli was a unanimous selection to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team this season. He finished sixth in the MAAC in three-point percentage (.378) and ninth in the conference in three-pointers per game (2.0).
Pascarelli ranked second on the Red Foxes with a scoring average of 10.7 points per game this season. He tied for the team lead with 16 double-digit scoring games, and had a team-best four outing with at least 20 points. After totaling career highs of 26 points and seven rebounds at Dartmouth on Dec. 9, he was named MAAC Rookie of the Week two days later.
The Kyle Macy Freshmen All-America Team consists of 30 finalists. The Freshman of the Year is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, as well as two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com. The winner will be announced at this year's Final Four in Phoenix.

The Marist men's basketball team finished the 2023-24 season with an 18-13 record and reached the semifinals of the MAAC Championship. The Red Foxes had their highest win total in 16 years, and the program earned its highest seed in the conference championship (third) in 17 years.
