Bergevin led the Stags with a .462 batting average to go along with three homers, seven RBI, and six runs scored in the sweep over Siena. He was at the forefront of the extra inning win with two homers, four RBI, and scoring the game-winner on a passed ball. He led off the bottom of the tenth with a single, one of his three hits. He drove in all four RBI in the game

Scott Seeker, Mount St. Mary's
Sr., Norton, OH, Western Oklahoma JC/Tallmadge High School
Seeker went 9-19 in the five Mount wins this past week while tallying 14 RBIs, nine runs scored, and nine drawn walks to post an OBP of .630, one hit being a grand slam against UMES.
Pitcher of the Week
Colin McVeigh, Fairfield
Sr., Lansdale, PA, LaSalle
McVeigh had a dominant outing against Siena as he went eight shutout innings, allowing just three hits and striking out 12 without a walk in securing the sweep. He struck out at least one batter through the first seven innings and did not allow a hit until the fifth.
Rookie of the Week
Carter Groen, Iona
Fr., Missouri City, TX, Ridge Point
Freshman Carter Groen had a dominant weekend at the dish for the Iona University baseball team. The rookie right fielder batted .615 with three runs batted in at home against Mount St. Mary’s. He opened the weekend 1-for-4 in Friday’s 6-0 setback before going 3-for-5 in the 6-5 defeat on Saturday. In Sunday’s 12-5 loss to the Mountaineers, Groen went 4-for-4 with three of his singles driving home base runners. He ranks second on the team with a .324 batting average against league foes and has driven in a team-high 18 runs.
