Jahari Williamson, Niagara, Men’s Basketball

Jahari Williamson is second on the Purple Eagles in scoring this season with 10.7 points per game, including an 11-point performance against Le Moyne last Sunday where he went 4-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-6 from three. On the season, Williamson is shooting 40.5 percent from the perimeter with a total of 30 made 3-point field goals which ranks fourth-best in the MAAC. The sophomore has six games this season with three or more 3-pointers made, including a 4-for-6 performance at Kent State that led to a season-best 17 points.
Female Student-Athlete of the Week
Mia Fiore, Merrimack, Women’s Basketball
Fr. / Naragansett, RI, St. George’s
Fiore who has been a spark for the Warriors all year long, will look continue her strong play heading into the thick of the conference schedule. Through the first half of the season she is averaging 8.6 points per game while claiming two MAAC Rookie of The Week awards. In the first two conference games, the Narragansett, Rhode Island native is averaging 16.5 PPG, 5 APG, and 4 RPG. Fiore and Merrimack will head to the defending MAAC Champions, Fairfield to open up the new year.
