In the first weekend of the season in which Mount St. Mary’s went 3-0, Ty Fredo put up impressive numbers at the plate with a batting average of .538, a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an OPS of .588. The sophomore went 7-13, knocking in six RBIs, hitting two homeruns, and accruing 13 total bases in the three games over the past weekend. In the field, Fredo recorded three put outs and four assists from the hot corner.
Pitcher of the Week/Rookie of the Week
Serigne Sarre, Mount St. Mary's

Serigne Sarre started in the second game of the Valentine's Day double header, pitching 7.0 innings of shutout baseball. The left-hander gave up one hit and walked one batter as a blemish to his 13 strikeouts against Norfolk State in his first college start. The freshman recorded an opponent batting average of .048 and recorded a WHIP of .29.
The 2025 MAAC Baseball Championship is an eight-team, single and double elimination championship, that will take place at Clover Stadium in Pomona, NY on May 20-24. Games 1 and 2 will be single elimination, games 3-12 will be double elimination and all rounds will reseed. This will be the fourth straight season that the championship is hosted at Clover Stadium.
