Mount St. Mary’s Fahey and Niagara’s Kolliegbo Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Fahey broke the Mount and MAAC record for the men's pole vault at the indoor track conference championships over this past weekend. The senior reached a new height of 5.16 meters to win the event at the championships, where it also stands as a MAAC record. The mark bests the previous high of 5.15 meters, set by Carter Nave at the 2020 IC4A Championships.

Safiato Kolliegbo, Niagara, Women’s Basketball

Safiatu Kolliegbo led Niagara Women's Basketball last week, starting both games and averaging 15.5 points across contests against Siena and Marist. She was particularly dominant against Siena with 21 points and 7 steals while playing 37 minutes. The versatile guard averaged 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while recording an impressive nine steals and six assists over the two-game stretch.
