POMONA, NY (May 19, 2025) – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Baseball Championship is set for this week at Clover Stadium in Pomona, NY from Tuesday through Saturday May 20-24. The 2025 MAAC Baseball Championship is an eight-team, single and double elimination championship. Games 1 and 2 on Tuesday will be single elimination, while the remainder of the championship will be double elimination and all rounds will reseed. This will be the fourth straight season that the championship is hosted at Clover Stadium. All games during the championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
 
The championship field will feature MAAC Regular Season Champion and top-overall seed Rider University, No. 2 Fairfield University, No. 3 Sacred Heart University, No. 4 Siena College, No. 5 Quinnipiac University, No. 6 Mount St. Mary's University, No. 7 Marist University, and No. 8 Niagara University.
 
Championship action begins on Tuesday, May 20 with the first round, which includes a pair of single elimination contests. Postseason play will start at 11:00 a.m. with a matchup between No. 5 Quinnipiac and No. 8 Niagara. The Bobcats earned a postseason berth after going 17-13 in the MAAC and 26-24-1 overall. The Purple Eagles clinched the final spot in the championship field on the final day of the regular season following a 10-7 win over rival Canisius, concluding their season with a 14-16 MAAC tally and 19-27 overall record. Quinnipiac swept the regular season series against Niagara on April 4-5, winning all three games on the road. The second single elimination first round game will be between No. 6 Mount St. Mary's and No. 7 Marist. The Mount went 15-13 in the MAAC and 24-27 overall. The Red Foxes recorded a 14-14 MAAC mark and 23-26 overall record. The two teams met in Emmitsburg, MD on April 17-19 in a three-game set, with Marist taking the series 2-1, winning the final two games in the matchup.
 
No. 1 Rider finished the 2025 campaign with a 22-6 MAAC record and 32-16 overall mark. Rider secured the MAAC Regular Season title, the program’s first in a decade, last winning the league’s regular season in 2015. The Broncs will receive a double bye and open championship action on Thursday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m. against the lowest remaining seeded team.
 
Second seeded Fairfield saw its run of regular season titles come to an end this season after claiming at least a share of the previous four dating back to 2021. The Stags wrapped up the regular season with 21-8 MAAC mark and 36-17 overall record. Fairfield also earned a double bye and open championship action on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. against the highest remaining seeded team.
 
Sacred Heart jumped two spots on the final week of the regular season, earning the No. 3 seed and a bye. The Pios posted a 17-13 conference record and 27-24 overall mark in their inaugural MAAC season. Sacred Heart starts its postseason action on Wednesday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. against the lowest remaining seed from the first round.
 
No. 4 Siena clinched the final bye of the field and will open postseason play on Wednesday, May 21 at 3:00 p.m. versus the highest remaining seeded squad from the first round. The Saints concluded 2025 at 17-13 in league play and 22-30 overall.
