EDISON, NJ (Aug. 11, 2026) – Metro Conference Commissioner Travis Tellitocci announced Tuesday the appointment of PJ Ringel as Director of Sport Administration.

"PJ has experienced championship competition from every angle, as a student-athlete, a coach, and now an administrator," said Tellitocci. "His perspective will be invaluable as we continue our work to provide an exceptional championship experience for our student-athletes and member institutions. We're excited to welcome PJ to the conference and look forward to the impact he will make for Metro student-athletes.”

Ringel joins the Metro from the finance sector after completing two coaching tours at The College of New Jersey (Division III).
 
A former TCNJ men’s basketball student-athlete, Ringel was a two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference assists leader, two-time NJAC regular-season champion and appeared in the 2020 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship, picking up a first-round victory. He served as captain and was a three-year starter for a program consistently ranked in the Division III top 25 polls.
 
Ringel, a Marlboro, New Jersey, native, joined the coaching staff of his alma mater in 2022, and helped lead the Lions to the 2024 NJAC championship and subsequent appearance in the NCAA tournament. During his two seasons on staff, Ringel aided in the development of four All-NJAC honorees.
 
In addition to his basketball experience, Ringel served as interim head coach for the Lions’ men’s soccer team, taking over the program two weeks before the start of preseason training in July 2024. Ringel coached two All-NJAC performers that season.
 
Ringel graduated from TCNJ in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He later earned an MBA in strategy, innovation and leadership in 2024.
