EDISON, NJ (Sept. 2, 2026) – The 2026 Metro hoops season officially tips off in Atlantic City on Wednesday, Sept. 16, when the conference converges on the Ocean Resort Casino for the 2026 Metro Basketball Tipoff. The Conference’s ESPN+ Basketball Tipoff show will air on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 PM ET.
The 2026 Metro Basketball Tipoff will begin with a breakfast featuring comments from Commissioner Travis Tellitocci, the preseason players of the year and the head coaches of the teams selected first in the preseason coaches’ polls. The breakfast will be emceed by ESPN broadcaster Derek Jones. Members of the media are invited to attend.
