DANBURY, CT (Dec. 16, 2024) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announces that five of its women’s soccer student-athletes have been selected to the 2024 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Women's Soccer All-ECAC Teams. Additionally, Fairfield University’s head coach, David Barrett, has been named the 2024 ECAC Division I Coach of the Year, as announced today by the ECAC.
Fairfield’s David Barrett was awarded ECAC Division 1 Coach of the Year honors and representing the MAAC on the All-ECAC First Team are Fairfield University midfielder Maddy Theriault and defender Alicia Zamora from Canisius University.
On the All-ECAC Second Team are midfielder Catherine Rogers from Siena College, defender Caroline Kelly from Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University’s goalkeeper, Sofia Lospinoso.

ABOUT THE ECAC
The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC also hosts a comprehensive esports program that presently involves 160 schools fielding 1100 teams across 14 different esports games, streamed live four nights a week. The ECAC's esports platform has and continues to expand the geographic footprint of the Conference nationally.
