EDISON, NJ (Sept. 8, 2026) –– Metro Conference Commissioner Travis Tellitocci announced Tuesday the appointment of Aimee Alt as associate commissioner, business & administration.
“Aimee is no stranger to the Metro Conference, and we are thrilled to have her join our team,” said Tellitocci. “She brings an impressive and well-rounded background, with nearly a decade of experience managing budgets, travel and operations in collegiate athletics. Her experience as an administrator, coach and Hall of Fame student-athlete gives her a unique perspective and a strong understanding of our membership. Aimee will be a tremendous addition to our staff, and I am confident she will make an immediate impact on the Conference and our member institutions.”
A longtime collegiate athletics administrator and 2022 inductee into the Iona Athletics Hall of Fame, Alt joins the Metro following six years at Rider, where she most recently served as associate athletic director for business operations. She joined the Broncs as assistant athletic director for business operations in February 2020 and was elevated to associate athletic director in December 2023.
At Rider, Alt oversaw the budgets for all 20 varsity programs and organized team travel. She also managed ticketing operations for men's and women's basketball and wrestling and served as the sport administrator for men's and women's swimming and diving.
Alt held a similar role at The College of New Jersey from 2017-20, managing budgets and travel for the Lions' 20 programs, a position she transitioned into after a long stint coaching swimming and diving at the NCAA Division I level.
Alt spent 10 seasons as an assistant swimming and diving coach at Fordham. She was an integral part of a staff whose tenure culminated in the Fordham women's team capturing the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship, the first postseason title for any women's sport in school history. The Rams were Atlantic 10 runners-up in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014. During her time at Rose Hill, Alt coached a two-time NCAA qualifier (17th-place finish in 2013), an Olympic Trials qualifier (top-20 finisher) and a multiyear Open Water Nationals qualifier.
Prior to her coaching career, Alt spent three years in the investment banking industry at Morgan Stanley after earning her MBA from Iona. During that time, she served as an assistant coach for the Gaels in 2004-05 and quickly realized her true passion was collegiate athletics.
A 2003 Iona graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Alt was a four-year member of the Gaels' swimming program and received the Joseph O'Connell Award as Iona's student-athlete of the year in 2003. She also played four seasons of water polo and graduated holding seven school records. Alt was named to the Conference's 40th Anniversary Team for swimming in 2021 and was inducted into Iona's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.
Alt resides in Ewing, New Jersey, with her husband Charlie, son Owen and daughter Adeline.
