Niagara’s Bedard and Siena’s Brown win Men’s & Women’s Tennis Weekly Awards

Men’s Player of the Week:
Tanner Bedard, Niagara

Freshman Tanner Bedard went 3-0 this past weekend, picking up all of his wins in No. 3 singles. The freshman started the week with a three-set win (3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-1)) over YSU's Erik Gran, followed by a 6-2, 6-2 win over Daemen's Zachary LaPlante before concluding the weekend with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Colgate. Niagara went 1-2 in its dual matches last week.
 
Women’s Player of the Week:
Meagan Brown, Siena
Sr., Elk River, MN, Elk River
 
Brown went a perfect 3-0 in singles play and scored a doubles victory in a commanding 5-2 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Brown was victorious from the #1 spot in all three of Siena's matches between Friday and Saturday, winning two of the three in straight games.
